GUIDELINE 4. DELAY IN RESPONDING TO DISCOVERY REQUESTS
Attorneys should make good faith efforts to respond to discovery requests within the time prescribed by the Maryland Rules or Court order. Attorneys wishing additional time to respond to discovery requests within any discovery deadlines set forth in the Maryland Rules or a Court order should contact opposing counsel as soon as practicable after receipt of the discovery request, but not later than three days before the response is due. A request for additional time should not be unreasonably refused.
Should counsel agree to conduct discovery beyond any deadlines set by the Court, they should seek leave of Court before doing so.
