Rule 8. Miscellaneous
A. No smoking is permitted in the courtroom or hallways of the respective judicial centers. The definition of smoking includes electronic cigarettes. Cell phones and pagers must be set on silent or vibrate mode or turned off, so as not to create any nuisance or distraction in the courtroom.
B. Food and beverages are not permitted within the courtrooms except when otherwise approved by the Court.
C. Hats or inappropriate attire within the courtroom are prohibited.
D. All persons, packages and containers are subject to search at any time by court security personnel. Weapons are not permitted in the courtroom except by 1) court approved bailiffs, 2) law enforcement and judicial officers who are not personally a party to an action then being heard, and 3) such other security or personnel approved by the Court.
