Rule 12. Guardianships, mental health and disability cases
(2) All adult disability and mental health jury proceedings, annual and biennial reviews and motions concerning guardianships, mental health and disability cases shall be set on the jury week of the presiding judge on the Thursday at 10:00 if at all possible. Casey's Law proceedings shall be set at the convenience of the Court.
(3) Involuntary Mental Health Hospitalization with Baptist Health Hardin/Lifesprings Unit cases shall be held on Tuesdays at 1:00 via remote connection with the hospital. D1Shaw shall preside during January--June. D2 Shumate shall preside during July--December. If such cases require a trial by jury, it shall be held at the hospital setting in person at the Tuesday at 1:00 docket time.
12.02. Local Forms for Minor's Guardianships Hardin County has established a set of local form motions and orders to help pro-se litigants in the review and termination of minor's guardianship cases. While court clerks may not give legal advice concerning the filing of motions or forms, if requested or if questions arise about what to file to terminate a minor's guardianship, the court clerks shall give any pro-se litigant or attorney a copy of all of the Hardin County forms for their consideration and potential use.
