8.01. Court Calendar. Small claims court will be held every Tuesday in both divisions at 10:00 a.m., unless otherwise directed by the Judge of the Division.

8.02. Issuance of Summons. Summons shall be issued to the address or addresses as noted by the Plaintiff in a Small Claims action. Summons shall be delivered to the Hardin County Sheriff Office unless otherwise requested by the Plaintiff. Plaintiff shall pay for Sheriff service directly to the Hardin County Sheriff any fee associated with such service. Hardin County Sheriff office shall use its best efforts to serve all Small Claims summonses with dispatch so that each Defendant shall have at least the statutory twenty days notice before the date set for the Trial by Court. The Hardin County Sheriff shall return to the Circuit Court Clerk any summonses for Small Claims that have less than twenty (20) days remaining before the date of the hearing. The Circuit Clerk shall re-issue the summons for those cases and notify the Plaintiff of the new date. The re-issue shall not require a new payment for filing or service.
