§ 423.00. Fee Adjustment.
Currentness
(a) Vehicle Code sections 1678, 1685, and 9250.6 and Revenue and Taxation Code section 11052 require the department, every January 1, to adjust specified fees by increasing each fee in an amount equal to the increase in the California Consumer Price Index for the prior year, as calculated by the Department of Finance with amounts equal to or greater than fifty cents ($0.50) rounded to the next highest whole dollar.
(b) Effective January 1, 2023, the fees authorized under the following statutes shall be:
(1) Vehicle Code sections 4604(b), 5014(f), 5036, 6700.25(e), 9102.5(a), 9102.5(c), 9252(a), 9254, 9258, 9261(a), 9261(b), 9261(c), 9261(d), 9265(a), 9265(b), 9702, 11515, 11515.2, 38121(b), 38232, 38255(a), 38255(b), 38255(c), 38260, 38265(a); Revenue and Taxation Code section 10902(c); and Code of Civil Procedure sections 488.385(b) and 488.385(c): $25.
(2) Vehicle Code section 1685(d): $5
(3) Vehicle Code section 9250: $65
(4) Vehicle Code section 9250.6(b): $108
(5) Vehicle Code section 9250.8(a): $5
(6) Vehicle Code section 9250.8(b): $10
(7) Vehicle Code section 9250.13(a)(1): $25

(C) Vehicle value ($25,000-$34,999): $118
(D) Vehicle value ($35,000-$59,999): $177
(E) Vehicle value ($60,000 +): $206
(c) Effective January 1, 2024, the fees authorized under the following statutes shall be:
