§ 160.06. Limits on Marketing Activity and Changes to Plate Design.
(a) A sponsor may not advertise, market for purchase, solicit enrollment for, or otherwise distribute any information indicating the current ability to enroll in a license plate program until the department delivers a written determination to the sponsor verifying the sponsor has complied with section 160.04. A sponsor may not use any marketing tool or written or other communication message to promote or process enrollment into an approved license plate program unless the tool or message was approved by the department.
(b) The sponsor shall bear the cost of designing and producing all marketing materials referred to in section 161.00.
(c) After the department approves a plate design, the plate design may not be altered by the sponsor except as allowed in section 161.04.
