§ 1937.1. Substantial Relation Criteria.
(a) For purposes of denial, suspension or revocation of a license or company registration, pursuant to section 141, Division 1.5 (commencing with Section 475), Section 8623, Section 8649, or Section 8655 of the code, a crime, professional misconduct, or act shall be considered to be substantially related to the qualifications, functions or duties of a licensee or registered company under Chapter 14 of Division 3 of the code if, to a substantial degree, it evidences present or potential unfitness of such licensee or registered company to perform the functions authorized by the license or company registration in a manner consistent with the public health, safety, or welfare.
