Rule 13. Arbitration
A. All civil cases in which the Court finds or the parties agree that the amount in controversy does not exceed $25,000 exclusive of costs and attorneys fees shall be subject to arbitration pursuant to A.R.S. § 12-133 and Rules 72-76, Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure.
B. Arbitrators shall be selected by the clerk of this court from a list of those attorneys who are residents of this county and who have been admitted to the practice of law in Arizona for at least 5 years. Additionally, the clerk shall include in the list of arbitrators those attorneys who have notified the clerk of a desire to be included in the list. Selection shall be, to the extent possible, rotated among those eligible for appointment and within the expressed areas of expertise of the attorneys, if they have registered at least three areas of expertise with the clerk.
C. Arbitrators appointed by the court shall be paid an amount not to exceed the maximum compensation established by A.R.S. § 12-133(G). Payment of compensation shall not be made until all issues before the arbitrator have been decided by the arbitrator.
