Rule 5.2. Summoning Witnesses; Record of Proceedings
(a) Summoning Witnesses. If requested, the magistrate must issue subpoenas to secure the attendance of witnesses.
(b) Record of Proceedings. The magistrate must make a verbatim record of the preliminary hearing. Proceedings may be recorded by a certified reporter or, in accordance with A.R.S. ยง 38-424, by electronic means or other means authorized by the presiding judge of the superior court.
