Rule 2.12. Continuances
A. The court may, upon motion of any party or on its own motion, continue the hearing on a civil violation for a period not exceeding 60 days, if it appears that the interests of justice so require.
B. Absent extraordinary circumstances, no hearing shall be continued by the court without notice to both parties.
C. The court shall notify both parties in writing of the new hearing date and time.
