4-1.01 A person applying for a Career-Technical Permit shall submit to the Division:
4-1.01.1 A completed application for licensure with payment of the non-refundable application fee;
4-1.01.2 Documentation that the applicant has successfully completed all background checks required by the Division's Rules Governing Background Checks;
4-1.01.3 Verification by the Division of Career Education that the applicant has completed the Department of Career Education requirements for the career-technical permit area including without exception:
4-1.01.3.1 Transcript evidencing the awarding of a bachelor's or higher degree in the career or technical area to be taught; or
4-1.01.3.2 A high school diploma or high school equivalency credential and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in the career or technical area to be taught; and
4-1.01.4 Documentation of the completion of the following professional development, which may be obtained on ArkansasIDEAS, from the applicant's educator preparation program, or by another method of delivery approved by the Division under the Rules Governing Professional Development:
4-1.01.4.1 Family and Community Engagement;
4-1.01.4.2 Child Maltreatment training;
4-1.01.4.3 Teen Suicide Awareness and Prevention;
4-1.01.4.4 Bullying prevention;
4-1.01.4.5 Human trafficking awareness; and
4-1.01.4.6 Code of Ethics training.
