3-5.01 Approved educator preparation programs shall regularly undergo a review process to determine if programs are meeting continuous improvement indicators that are aligned with Arkansas education workforce needs.

3-5.01.1 The State Review shall, at a minimum, include:

3-5.01.1.1 An annual audit of educator preparation providers;

3-5.01.1.2 Periodic, on-site reviews of educator preparation providers;

3-5.01.1.3 Annual Reporting of educator preparation providers progress in meeting standards; and

3-5.01.1.4 A process for the educator preparation providers to address areas needing improvement

3-5.01.2 Onsite reviews will be conducted by teams consisting of peer reviewers and content and pedagogical specialist specialists and scheduled to align to the current Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation on-site cycle. Onsite reviews may be conducted more frequently if areas for improvement require more frequent examination.

3-5.01.3 The framework for the review process will consist of domains that include, but are not limited to, the evaluation of: candidate recruitment, program experience, candidate assessment, employment, and completer effectiveness and preparedness.

3-5.01.4 Common data measures will be established by a committee of practitioners for the evaluation of the domains.

3-5.01.5 Annual reporting of progress will be shared with education preparation providers and stakeholders.
