A. Federal Cash Transactions Reporting (PMS 272): The federal government agency transmits required federal guidelines, forms and deadlines to be utilized in the reporting process to the Department of Human Services (DHS), Administrative Services, Managerial Accounting Section, Reporting and Forecasting Unit.

B. Reporting and Forecasting Unit staff prepare federally mandated Status of Federal Cash reports on all Letters of Credit (LOC) administered by DHS within the specified time. Reports are completed on the required forms, in compliance with federal guidelines and regulations, from worksheets completed utilizing information on the Department of Finance and Administration, Division of Computer Services, Accounting/Federal Grants Management (AFGM) system, Report Number 1456, Expenditures for Program Code. The Cost Allocation Report prepared by the Managerial Accounting Cost Allocation Unit for DHS is also utilized in preparing Status of Federal Cash reports.

C. Submission of Federal Cash Transactions Reports: Reporting and Forecasting staff submit LOC Status of Federal Cash Reports to the appropriate federal agency and DHS divisional program manager or designee within the required time frame.

D. Reporting and Forecasting staff review, provide all completed documents, and answer all correspondence to satisfy the reporting requirements of the PMS 272.
