006.24.1-226.0.0. CONCURRENT EMPLOYMENT BY TWO STATE AGENCIES OR INSTITUTIONS
Section 226.1.1
An employee may work for two agencies or institutions concurrently, provided that a request is made by agency or institution head(s) to the Chief Fiscal Officer of the State and provided that the combined salary payments from the agencies or institutions do not exceed the larger maximum annual salary of the line item position authorized for either agency or institution from which the employee is being paid. Subject to approval of the Chief Fiscal Officer of the State, an employee may be concurrently employed by the same agency or institution. (See Section 245 - “Drawing Salaries from Two State Agencies or Institutions”.)
Section 226.1.2
State employees may teach temporarily at state supported institutions of higher education even though their combined salaries will exceed the line item maximum (Arkansas Code § 19-4-1604), subject to the approval of the Chief Fiscal Officer of the State.
