007.10.30-V. Responsibilities of the Milk Hauler
A. Be a licensed milk sampler and grader, with clean personal habits and wear clean outer clothing.
B. Be responsible to see that his truck is cleaned and sanitized before starting his route.
C. Complete the milk route with the least amount of delay.
D. Clean and sanitize the sample collecting device. Single service may be used.
E. Collect an accurate sample from each milk producer's supply after adequate agitation (at least five (5) minutes) or with other procedures approved by the regulatory agency, and collect one additional sample for a temperature control at the 1st stop. This sample shall be maintained as the other samples and used as a temperature check at the plant.
F. Provide ice or other refrigeration to maintain the samples at 40 degrees F. or lower without freezing until the samples are delivered to the plant.
G. Follow the pick up procedures recommended in the Reference Guide for Bulk Milk Tank Operator with special emphasis on completely pumping out the tank, removing the milk hose, and then thoroughly rinsing the tank.
