Written policies and procedures shall specify measures taken during the admission process, to ensure that the client's parents, or legal custodian or guardian are informed as to the facility's policy on client communications (mail, phone calls, visitation, etc.), the frequency of facility reports and meetings involving those parties, and the provisions for notification of those parties by the facility in the event of unauthorized absences and other emergency or significant events involving the client. The procedures shall specify how the requirements will be met and how they will be documented.
