Division 00.
Rule 11. Advertisements of Disability Insurance
Ark. Admin. Code 054.00.11-1
054.00.11-1. PURPOSE
The purpose of Rule and Regulation 11, “Advertisements of Disability Insurance”, (hereinafter referred to as rule or regulation) is to protect prospective purchasers with respect to the advertisement of disability insurance in the same manner as the rules governing advertisements of Medicare supplement insurance. This rule assures the clear and truthful disclosure of the benefits, limitations and exclusions of policies sold as disability insurance. This is intended to be accomplished by the establishment of guidelines and permissible and impermissible standards of conduct in the advertising of disability insurance in a manner which prevents unfair, deceptive and misleading advertising and is conducive to accurate presentation and description to the insurance-buying public through the advertising media and material used by insurance agents and companies.
